Columbus Metropolitan Library: 150th Anniversary Egg Prize

Columbus Metropolitan Library, in celebration of its 150th birthday, has partnered with the Columbus Downtown Development Corporation to host a temporary public art installation called Egg Prize. This special vending machine was set up near the High Street entrance of Columbus Commons and available for public use from June-September 2023. The installation dispensed plastic eggs filled with pieces of miniature art – affectionately referred to as “Chippies” – designed by 10 local artists and members of the community. The eggs, which cost 50 cents each, will also contain fun prizes that include magnets, pins and stickers featuring original work by the artists.

Sullivant Bright Project

In 2021, the city of Columbus launched an infrastructure revitalization initiative titled The Sullivant Bright Project. Artists created mural wraps for bus stops and utility boxes alongside traffic improvements for Sullivant Avenue. For this project, I sought to uplift the power of queer representation, in message and medium. Using bright colours and limitless cartoon bodies, I seek to paint our city in the light it deserves: a vibrant, diverse destination bustling with quirky characters welcomed by all. This proposal was accepted in January 2022, with installation finalized in October.
